How do I get my ConEd file? (about 60 seconds)
  1. Sign in at coned.com and open My Account.
  2. Go to Billing & Usage → Energy Use (or search “Green Button”).
  3. Click Green Button “Download my data”, choose CSV, and pick the widest range (up to ~1 year for the most accurate result).
  4. ConEd emails/gives you a .zip — drop it here as-is. It never leaves your device.

How ConEd residential rate plans work

Every Con Edison home is on the Standard (SC1) rate by default. You can switch — but switching only helps if your usage pattern fits the plan. This tool prices your actual usage against each plan so you don't guess.

Is ConEd Time-of-Use worth it?

Time-of-Use charges more for electricity used 8am–midnight and much less midnight–8am. It only saves money if a large share of your usage is overnight (e.g., EV charging). For most homes — where usage peaks in the evening — Time-of-Use costs more, not less. This tool shows you the exact number for your home.

What are the Steady Use and Smart Energy (demand) plans?

These bill on your peak demand in kilowatts (kW) — the most power you draw at once — rather than total kWh. They tend to reward flat, steady loads (heat pumps, always-on homes) and punish spiky ones. This tool derives your peak demand from the interval data to estimate them, something a kWh-only comparison can't do.

Is there a ConEd EV rate?

Not for residential customers — ConEd's EV Time-of-Use rate is commercial-only. This tool prices residential EV homes on the regular plans and can model SmartCharge NY's 10¢/kWh off-peak incentive as an optional what-if. Con Edison currently says Residential Time-of-Use customers are not eligible for the program.
